Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Your prayers for healing are invited for Judy Wendell, wife of Fr. Marty Wendell (Trinity, Watervliet), and Fr. Julian Schellkopf (retired priest of the Diocese) who are recovering from surgeries last week. Judy is at Samaritan Hospital and Fr. Schellkopf is at the Albany County Nursing Home.
We give thanks for the safe return of the short term Mission Team to Bolivia. The team returned on Sunday morning at 4 am due to flight delays along the way. It was a combined effort of parishes in the Diocese of Albany and the Church of the Good Shepherd Church (Methodist), Green Island, NY.

St. John’s in the Wilderness, Copake Falls, has called the Reverend John P. Thompson as their new rector, and Trinity Church, Plattsburgh has called the Reverend Colin C. Belton as their new rector. We welcome them and their wives and look forward to their ministry in the Diocese of Albany.
The Reverend Sue Waldron is the new curate at St. Peter’s, Albany. Fr John Thorpe, the previous curate, accepted a call as rector, St. Stephen’s Church, Newton, Iowa. We wish Fr. John, Beth, and young son Edwin best wishes and God’s blessing in their new ministry.
