On September 19, the Cathedral Theology Reading Group will begin exploring a new work, Atonement: The Person and Work of Christ by T.F. Torrance, and extends an open invitation to all. Our group is composed of theologians and seekers with no theological training, together pursuing a deeper knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The reading group meets in the Dean’s office in Oldham House, across the street from the Cathedral, on the third Wednesday of the month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. September 29th: Healing Prayer Session, Cathedral of All Saints, Albany
The Cathedral of All Saints, Albany cordially invites you to an educational program on Healing Prayer , Saturday, September 29, 2018, 9 am – 12 noon, led by Father Mark Chestnut, Director, Healing Center of the Christ the King Spiritual Life Center, and his wife Darlene. We will convene at 9 am in the Lady Chapel for the Holy Eucharist. The session, to be held in Pederson Hall, will focus on: the scriptural basis for prayer; prayer itself; and, a practicum. Time will be provided for identifying content and scheduling of future sessions. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. We look forward to having you with us. September 29th: Safeguarding God’s Children Seminars, St. Paul’s Church, Troy
St. Paul’s Church, 58 Third St, Troy, NY 12180 will be offering the Safeguarding God’s Children Training and Certification program from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is an in-depth educational and training program designed to prevent child sexual abuse in everyday life and in ministry. All clergy and laity who work with youth should be trained and certified at least every three years. Lunch will be provided. October 6th: German Dinner, St. James’ Episcopal Church 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Take Out 4:00 – 6:30 Adults $15.00, Children 5-12 $10.00 under 5 free. Take Out Dinners can be preordered starting Thursday September 13 by calling 518-668-2001 and leaving a message. name and number of dinners. The menu will feature traditional German food. The church is handicapped accessible.
October 11-12: Amish Country Tour with Longwood Gardens and “Jesus”
