Priests’ Retreat
Our Calling to Friendship
In a series of talks both biblical and practical, Father Austin will lead us to meditate on God’s call to us as a call to friendship with him and with each other, first as Christians but also as clergy.
The retreat will be centered around five talks:
- Friendship enters a broken and contentious world.
- The friend at the Last Supper
- The friend on the cross
- The resurrected friend
- Emerging friendship in our lives: practical steps
In addition to the talks enjoy time with your fellow priests in worship, prayer, fellowship and around the table enjoying meals. While on site at Christ the King enjoy the grounds and facilities, including the recently reopened Barry House Theological Library.
Our Speaker: The Rev. Canon Victor Lee Austin, Ph.D., is Theologian-in-residence for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas and St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Dallas.
