James Krueger serves as Priest in Charge at Saint James Church Lake Delaware in the northwestern Catskill Mountains of New York State. He is also founder and Priest in Charge of Mons Nubifer Sanctus, a retreat center focused on intensive training in the contemplative Christian life, which he runs with his beloved wife, Maureen. Fr. Krueger holds a B.A. in the Humanities with a minor in Writing and Literature, an M.A. in Gerontology and Long-Term Care Management, an M.A. in Theological Studies with a focus in Ascetical Theology and Spiritual Direction, and a certificate in Eastern Orthodox Theology. He has served as Executive Director of a grassroots community organization in the rural Catskill Mountains for nearly a decade, and has dabbled in the music business as an award-winning songwriter and performer.
