Stewardship Resources (TENS)

The Episcopal Diocese of Albany is a member of TENS, The Episcopal Network for Stewardship.

TENS’ vision is to provide training and resources for stewardship leaders across The Episcopal Church and beyond, around the following core competencies:

  • Training clergy and lay leaders in the spirituality of money, and the skills required to address questions of money in the congregation;
  • Mentoring a new generation of stewardship leaders, with special attention to youth, young adults, Generation Xers, and newly ordained clergy;
  • Developing and utilizing methods of providing resources using web-based and other electronic techniques.
  • Creating tools and curriculæ for seminarians on stewardship best practices, the theology of money, and congregational financial standards

A primary benefit to membership is that all the congregations in Diocese of Albany have access to the annual giving campaign that TENS designs as a way of inviting the wider church to explore how the choices we make with our money and giving reflect our faith and values.

The materials include bulletin inserts, letter templates, pledge cards and other materials. The series can be accessed online here.

The password to access the materials may be obtained by contacting Kyra Fitzgerald at the diocesan office – 518-692-3350.
