Mission Committee

The purpose of the Mission Committee is to provide a forum for missions, empowering, equipping, encouraging, and evangelizing throughout the Episcopal Diocese of Albany for local, regional, national and international missions. Members of the Mission Board are appointed by the Bishop of Albany due to devotion to spreading the Word of God locally and internationally. Board members are empowered by the Holy Spirit, committed to sharing God’s love in Jesus Christ and eager to proclaim His Kingdom with everyone. For questions please email albanymissions@gmail.com.

  • We will seek to establish mission committees in every church in the diocese.
  • We will support, educate and facilitate the parishes of the Albany Diocese to organize and participate in local mission activities as well as short term and long term missionary opportunities both near and far. We will produce a Handbook for Missions to assist in this goal.
  • We will actively initiate and encourage prayer support for mission operations at home and away.
