The Rev. Tracy J. Wells Miller

Priest-in-Charge: Zion Church, Morris

The Rev. Tracy J. Wells Miller (“Mother Tracy”) most recently served as Rector of the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Aptos, CA. She was born and raised in South Carolina, and in addition to California, has also lived and served congregations in Massachusetts, Nebraska, Georgia, and Tennessee. She considers Province I her “home province” because it was while in graduate school in Boston that she discovered and became part of the Episcopal Church, in the Diocese of Massachusetts. Mtr. Tracy is passionate about assisting people in discerning their gifts and call. In addition to the pastoral and sacramental life of the priesthood, her own sense of personal calling leads her to stand in solidarity with marginalized communities (particularly people experiencing homelessness, people of color, and LGBTQ+ people) and bring people together across differences. Her “first calling” was to interfaith dialogue and education, and she is also particularly passionate about racial and economic justice work.
