Fr. Armidon is a graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and George Washington University, Washington, D.C. (B.A. in Political Science). During the summer after his first year in seminary, he served an internship at Oaks of Righteousness, a since-closed inner-city ministry in Troy, New York. (In the process, he met his wife, the Rev’d Hannah Armidon [née Mudge], who had co-founded that ministry.) At the same time he also served an internship at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany and completed a Level 1 Healing Prayer Class. Prior to ordination, he completed five units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), first during a summer chaplain internship at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and then during a year-long chaplain residency (during the height of the Covid pandemic) at a large hospital in Normal, Illinois. He also served as a hospice chaplain for over a year. Fr. Armidon serves as Priest-in-Charge of the Church of the Holy Cross in Warrensburg, N.Y. Before coming to the Diocese of Albany, he served in the Diocese of Northern Indiana as Priest-in-Charge of St. David’s, Elkhart, Indiana from March 2023 until its closing in September 2024. He also served as Priest-in-Charge of St. James’, Goshen, Ind. from July 2023 to December 2024. Before priestly ordination, he served as Deacon at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul the Apostle in Springfield, Illinois. Fr. Armidon is currently serving as Secretary-General of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament, the oldest devotional society in the Anglican Communion. He is also a Life Member of the Guild of All Souls, the Society of Mary, and the Guild of the Living Rosary of Our Lady and Saint Dominic. He is a Member of the Society of King Charles the Martyr. Fr. Armidon is a Rhode Island native who has a lifelong interest in history and enjoys visiting historical sites and reading books about history. He is a member (and former Chaplain) of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, a fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of those who fought and worked to save the Union in the American Civil War.
